Single items are only available for in-store purchase and pick-up during our June-October season at The Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island in Portland, Oregon.

Our Bolga Baskets are imported and apply fair trade values directly from the artists who produce them in Ghana, West Africa. Each basket is wonderfully handcrafted using wild elephant grass, goat hide, natural dyes, and expert craftsmanship handed down through generations. Purchasing these baskets helps to support farming families from the historic area of Bolgatanga.

Minimum order of 40 baskets for wholesale pricing. We require 24 hour advanced notice for local pickup orders. Please email your orders and desired pickup date/time to baskets@thepumpkinpatch.com.

FREE shipping on all orders. No minimums.  Ups Ground shipping takes 7-10 days for delivery!

Please note: We ship orders on Thursdays of every week. The 7-10 business days starts after your boxes have been been picked up by UPS on Thursday.

Since these baskets are hand crafted, slight variations are to be expected. However, if you are unhappy with the product when it arrives, please call or email us within 24 hours to authorize a return. You will then need to ship the product back to us and pay for shipping. After we receive the product, we will give you a full refund for the product. Return shipping charges are non-refundable.

If you receive an order with a damaged basket, you must email us within one week of receiving your shipment.  We require a photo of the product which you can email to baskets@thepumpkinpatch.com. Once we receive the photo we will determine the damage, and credit your account accordingly. 

Baskets are usually shipped folded into one other. This allows us to ship more baskets per box. Below, is four easy steps to forming your baskets. 

1. Separate all of your baskets. 

2. Fully submerge the baskets in water (warm water is best, but not necessary). You can do this process with a hose, water can, or fill a water trough. 

3. Then press the creased edges on the baskets together. This is a great time to adjust the leather handle and play with the basket until you get the desired shape.
