October Field Trips

Our field trips include an informational covered wagon and/or open air hayride out to pick your own pumpkin, a visit through the Big Red Animal Barn, a trek through our Giant Hay Maze, a climb on The Giant Hay Pyramid, a fun sticker and a fresh, delicious apple.

Available: October 2 - 31st
Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 11:30am.
(No Field Trips on In-Service Day - Oct. 14)
Public hayrides start at noon.

Minimum Group Size: 20

Ages: Elementary Kindergarden - 6th Grade

Admission: $5.00 per child.

Pre-registration required - please call 503-621-3874 between 10am and 6pm.

Siblings are welcome but will be charged the same price as students. There is no fieldtrip charge for adult chaperones. If adults want pumpkins and other goods they will need to be purchased separately.

We have a shared lunch area available for groups. Please be aware that this is a shelter/barn with straw bales for seating. There are no tables available. It is first come-first served and other groups may be present at the same time. The Patio Cafe covered area is for cafe patrons only. The covered tent area is for Maize patrons only.

Parents and Teachers: Since we are a working farm, the children will actually be picking pumpkins in the field they are growing in and then will walk back to the barn/play areas. They will get dirty in our fields and, if it is raining, they may get wet & muddy! Appropriate shoes/boots and raincoats are a necessity most October days! The kids will probably love it... but please be prepared for dirty kids when they return!
