What is C.S.A.?
C.S.A. (Community Supported Agriculture) is a farming program designed to help support local farmers and provide share-holders (you) with fresh produce during the local growing season. Pre-paid shares are purchased in the Spring and fresh-picked produce gets delivered to you during the harvest. You simply choose one of our convenient drop-off points to pickup your weekly delivery every Wednesday during the growing season.

Why Join Our Farm?
The Pumpkin Patch is an established, local, family-owned farm. For 50 years we've been growing fresh fruits and vegetables on Sauvie Island. We are wholesale suppliers for several grocery retail outlets in Portland so becoming a member of our program means you will receive a wide variety of farm grown vegetables, fruit, and berries weekly without overwhelming repetition. Not only will you benefit from the natural vitamins and antioxidants found in fresh produce, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing exactly where your produce comes from and that you are supporting a local farm! We are USDA & Food Alliance certified, which means we are committed to practicing sustainable agriculture and are dedicated to improving our farm practices year after year! You can be assured that the produce you get from us is picked fresh, inspected for quality and healthy for you.

How It Works:
Our CSA season begins Wednesday, June 7 and ends Wednesday, October 4 - amounting to 18 consecutive weeks. Each Wednesday during that period, you can pick up your pre-packed share from one of our convenient drop-off locations. We'll provide a sturdy cardboard box, which can be re-used weekly by bringing it back the next time you pick up your produce.

What You Receive:
Each week you get a box of fresh-picked produce from our farm (value of $25 per week) which is estimated to feed 2-4 people. We are an established farm; however, weather plays the largest role in what and when we provide! You can view contents list from previous years or our online availability guide, to get an idea of what may be included in your weekly box. Along with what we grow at our farm (over 40 fresh fruits and vegetables), we also supplement your box with a variety of in-season, fresh Sauvie Island produce, in-season Hood River fruit and occasional specialty items that we offer here on the farm. A weekly e-mail newsletter is sent to you with a list of items in each delivery. We also include interesting tips/recipes that can be used with your produce. You also receive a members-only card that will allow you 10% off all produce in our Market and gift items in our Pumpkin Cottage Giftshop any time during the 2016 season.
